The Holocaust Victims Welfare Fund helps Holocaust survivors.
The fund was founded by Holocaust survivors and is managed by a public management operating voluntary.
Most management members are Holocaust survivors who are well acquainted with the needs of the survivors and their contemporary condition.
The fund operates on two levels: one, welfare of Holocaust victims in Israel who need individual help and the other, maintaining well being of Holocaust survivors on the public agenda.
The Association is raising funds and resources from various sources for that, which are given to survivors through the various aid plans.
The fund operates a number of assistance plans, which is provided to Holocaust survivors who meet the criteria set for help from the fund.
Fund’s services
- The fund finances regular care of 9 weekly hours to Holocaust survivors, who are nearly or completely dependent on others (starts from 150% eligibility)
- The fund finances help after hospitalization for a short period of time. The service is designed for unexpected hospitalization of Holocaust survivors and after dismissal from the hospital to go back to the community without being able to take care of themselves.
- The fund helps receiving a 50 hours assisted care as the patient is released from the hospital for a period of two months, or until the Nursing Law from the National Insurance Institute had been activated.
- This type of help can only be obtained by applying through the hospital’s social worker, during hospitalization. Shay-siud helps those eligible to receive their rights from the Holocaust victims’ welfare.
- The fund is sponsoring the 50 -hour “community leader” program.
- Holocaust survivors living amongst the community and are chronically ill or in a state of crisis can receive weekly care hours hours through the fund, for home care by the caregivers of Say-siud company.
- Conditions of Cognitive decline, dialysis, oncologist radiation after ambulatory surgery, spouse’s death, walking difficulty, a new orthopedics fracture, a patient in critical condition.

The Ministry of Welfare in collaboration with the Holocaust Fund are making sure the rights of Holocaust survivors will be protected and acts for maximum use of the rights they rightfully deserve.
